THETA ONEDIGITAL

Technical BA outsourcing · the dated record

Every engagement, with dates and the prime we ran through.

Everything on this page is already on the founder's CV, which sits on this domain and carries the same dates. What this page adds is the shape of each engagement: the platform, the role held, and the prime the work ran through. There are no client-attributed outcomes, metrics or quotes here. We did not ask permission to publish any, and writing them from memory would devalue everything else on the page.

If your process needs a reference rather than a record, the prime holds the commercial relationship and is the party who can give you one. Name the engagement that matters to you and we will ask them.

Institutions where this work was delivered

LSEG (UK/US)
UNFCCC (Germany)
NTT DATA
Raiffeisen Bank Romania
Finstro (Australia)
ING Hubs Romania

NTT DATA appears here as a prime we delivered through, not as a client. Universal Music Group, Alior Bank and DCA Ventures have no mark here and appear in the record below as text.

Three roles held as an employee. They are on this page because the work is the same work, and because leaving them off would make the dates stop adding up.

What this work looks like at the requirements layer

Eight sectors, and the part of each that the analysis actually turns on.

Retail banking and lending

Lending flows, digital onboarding, PSD2 and AML. Most of the requirements work here is integration and eligibility: what the credit bureau returns and what happens when it returns nothing, what a qualified digital signature has to bind to, which missing field stops an application and which one lets it continue with a flag.

Capital markets

Real-time market data, read by analysts working in the same document at the same time. The requirements turn on entitlement and staleness: who may see which instrument, and what the screen shows when the feed is late.

Bancassurance

Travel, unit-linked and protection products sold through a bank's channels and underwritten by a carrier. The analysis is a boundary between two organisations: what the bank collects, what the insurer needs, and what happens on the days the two disagree.

Fintech lending

A lending platform on web and mobile with SOAP services behind it. The specification is the contract between the clients and those services, including the error paths that never appear in a demo.

International institutions

A climate-finance reporting portal under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement, with stakeholders in several countries. Requirements arrive as legal text, and the work is turning that into a process model and then into backlog items an engineer can pick up.

Media and rights

A rights-management system being decommissioned, with its data and its integrations moved onto a newer stack. The analysis is establishing what the old system does, which is rarely what its documentation says.

Banking data platforms

Data lake and warehouse integrations, governance and reporting inside a banking group. The requirements are lineage and definitions: whose number is authoritative, and what a field means when three systems hold three versions of it.

EDI and document exchange

AS2 exchange and a portal around it. Requirements are message formats, acknowledgements, and what a failed transmission looks like to the person who has to fix it before close of business.

What these engagements are, and are not

Every engagement on this page is Technical Business Analysis work: requirements, specifications, backlog ownership, integration and process analysis. None of it is an Etheria reference. Etheria is our own delivery pipeline, it is in Beta, and it has no client references yet. None of it is a custom-build reference: where we have built software with our own engineers, those clients are not named because they have not agreed to be. None of it is Academy proof, because the Academy has not run.

Most of this work ran as a subcontract under a prime, and the prime is named on every entry. That is the ordinary route into an enterprise that has closed its supplier list, it is how we have already worked inside four of them, and it is the first thing vendor management asks.

Who did the work

Theodor Istratescu

Theodor Istratescu

Founder · Technical Business Analyst and Product Owner

Theodor did every engagement above. Theta One Digital has operated since 2022, and he still holds the analyst seat on a live contract. Business analysis since Oct 2016; three years and nine months of that as a bank employee, at Alior Bank and then ING Hubs Romania; everything that followed on contract. The person who scopes your work is the person who delivers it.

What to do with this

Thirty minutes, no deck. Bring the programme, the squad, and the part of it that is currently ambiguous. You leave with a written view of where your requirements are leaking, whether or not you hire anyone.
